WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

The Stardust Review is open-year around and welcomes all writers. We are seeking short stories, poetry, literary non-fiction, essays on art criticism, literary criticism, and philosophy.

​FICTION:


We accept well-written short stories and flash fiction. If you have a compelling story, please submit it to us. 
If you write something controversial, alternative or experimental, please let us take a look.
For short stories, the maximum word count is 8000. 
For flash fiction, please keep your work under 1500 words.


NON-FICTION


Memoir and Personal Essay: Please keep your work between 600-3000 words. 

Essays: We are looking for art criticism, literary criticism, thought-provoking articles on political theory, and philosophy. Our editors are very Heideggerian; if you write a piece about Heidegger, please submit to us. 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINE

Submissions must be unpublished, original work. We don’t take unsolicited reprint submissions.
Our exclusion period is 10 days. 
We respond to submissions in 35 days. 

We are seeking submissions for our third issue coming this April.

We extended the deadline to April 29th with a prize of $200. The finalists and winners will be contacted by May 20th.


  • We will publish the winner and all finalists in a special issue.
  • We only consider poetry for this contest.
  • Submit up to 6 pieces of poetry per submission. 
  • All submissions must be previously unpublished.
  • We accept simultaneous submissions 


 The contest runs from December 26th to March 29th with a prize of $300.
